ITHA Finance and Administration
Financial accountability and transparency are key to running a successful organization. ITHA is committed to being financially accountable to its members and funders, and is widely viewed as a very credible organization. Our Finance staff is composed of a team of four, including a Comptroller and three Financial Clerks and Assistants. This team administers the annual ITHA budget of approximately $10 million. All aspects of recognized accounting practices are followed in the day-to-day management of receivables, accounts payable and payroll.

ITHA currently manages four of Health Canada's six non-insured health benefits. ITHA does not yet manage dental or pharmacy benefits for its members, these are managed by Health Canada. Benefits currently provided by ITHA include:
Medical Supplies and Equipment (MS&E)
- Audiology e.g. hearing aids
- Mobility aids
- Medical supplies
- Orthotics, prosthetics and custom footwear
- Pressure garments
- Oxygen therapy
- Respiratory therapy

Mental Health off-reserve
- Short-term crisis counselling to members living off-reserve
- Up to 10 sessions per off-reserve band member available through ITHA per claim.
- Community crisis funding for Member Nations
